"As a working professional after September 11, I wanted to know more about the world and the circumstances that had led to that tragic day. I looked around for a program that offered an understanding of American Foreign Policy that I could pursue without interrupting my career and that would have minimal impact on my family and personal life. I found that program at Virginia Tech in its online graduate political science courses. The professors were very well-informed and the classmates brought a tremendous range of experience and expertise to the class. I continue to take courses at Virginia Tech and highly recommend it to my colleagues and others who desire a better understanding of the United States' place in the world community."

"The ITMA program is set up so you could finish your degree, no matter how challenging life can be. That was a great feature about the program. The feedback the teachers provided on the assignments were also great. If there were issues with an assignment, the instructors would comment and provide feedback to help me understand what I may have done wrong, or where I may have misunderstood."

The ITMA program had a great emphasis on curriculum, and gave me the opportunity to look at a lot of different technologies that I now use in my current position as a media specialist/technology coordinator in an elementary school setting. It also gave me a desire/passion for online learning. The flexibility and convenience of online learning played a very large role in obtaining my master's, and it continues to fuel my desire to move up the pay scale."
