Graduate Non-Degree

Non-degree or Commonwealth Campus Students:

If you are not interested in obtaining a degree at this time but simply want to take several courses for credit, you can be admitted to Virginia Tech under non-degree status or Commonwealth Campus status. IMPORTANT! Not all eLearning courses are open to non-degree students, and successful completion of coursework does not guarantee admission into a degree program. Check the course descriptions for details before submitting an application.

Graduate Level

  1. Application.
  2. Commonwealth Campus -- Please provide a photocopy of your official undergraduate or graduate transcript or diploma.
  3. Non-Degree -- Please provide your official undergraduate or graduate transcript or diploma.
  4. If you filled out the portion of the application requesting tuition rates for Virginia residents, you must submit a photocopy of your Virginia driver's license or most recent state tax forms as proof of residency.
  5. If you are requesting reduced rates for K-12 employees in Virginia, you must submit a signed, K-12 tuition waiver form.
