Self-Assessment Survey: Is eLearning Right for You?

The following Survey has been designed to highlight some of the attributes of a successful eLearner. Completing this survey will allow you to assess your potential success in an eLearning environment. It is for self-assessment only: your answers are not collected by Virginia Tech.

	I have access to a computer and/or the multi-media equipment required for an eLearning experience.
	I am not intimidated by using technology applications for learning.
	I feel comfortable using a computer for basic word-processing, accessing the Internet, and sending/receiving e-mail.
	I have strong time management skills and am able to meet deadlines and keep track of assignments. I enjoy and am successful at independent learning.
	I am able to learn without face to face interaction with others.
	I can easily express my ideas, comments, and questions verbally and in writing.
	I am generally flexible and can easily adjust to changing my schedule.

Distance learning at Virginia Tech is all about expanding access to education, and to date, close to 136,000 eLearning enrollments (credit and non-credit) have been achieved since Summer 1998.
